Hanson Meader, son of Micajah Meader (1769-1850) [0060] and Sarah Robinson (1777-1849), was born July 13, 1807 in Albion, ME and died October 12, 1881. September 24, 1834 he married Jane Hanson of China, ME, born August 12, 1814 the daughter of Elihu and Rachel Hanson, and died February 27, 1889.
Hanson Meader purchased a farm on Quaker Hill, known as Maple Hill Farm, in the eastern part of Albion. Later the Winslow and Chandler farms were acquired, making a total of about 400 acres of wood, pasture and farming land. He was a staunch Quaker and was buried in a small cemetery on Quaker Hill.
